I had been hearing a lot about the new collection Macy's was bringing to the stores this spring, showcasing Marilyn Monroe's iconic style. The collection adds a bit of a modern twist to the typical fifties celebrity look and is very trendy for the season. When I was shopping over the weekend, I saw the window displays and thought they were amazing. The colors are great for spring and made me wish I was wearing a polka-dot A line dress right then and there! The windows featured quotes from Marilyn herself and were very eye catching.
The color scheme is very fifties inspired with only Red, White, and Black. These colors pop really nicely together and created a great display for Macy's as a department store.

The Poppy Red is such a fun color and it looks so inviting against the solid white backdrop. Another aspect of Macy's window display that was great was the simplicity. Each window had only a few mannequins, with a lot of empty space on the floor. In some cases this wouldn't always work, but for the color assortment and quotes on the windows it was just right. I look forward to trying some pieces on from this collection very soon!
