Dramatic CatWalks

I was researching some of the best runway shows of all time and it is amazing what some of these designers have pulled off or even the ideas. The amount of money that goes into a show is jaw dropping but for some of these specific shows, I'm sure it was way beyond the normal fees that go along with putting on a fashion show. I personally had three favorites and think that they are the most dramatic, yet inspiring runway shows I have ever read about.

1). Chanel Fall 2010


   

In the above picture is a 265- ton iceberg that was imported from Scandinavia and handcarved by 35 ice sculptors. Talk about a Fall/Winter extravaganza!


2). Pierre Cardin Spring 2008




This presentation was done in the desert of Mingsha Mountain, in northwest China. What a view!


3). Henrik Vibskov Fall 2009




Life-sized hamster wheels at the back of the runway, to also demonstrate the collection. Models would walk down the runway while also having them walk the wheels. These models are certainly getting their work out in.
