Street Style- #3

Street style images are one of my favorite components of fashion blogging and are great visual examples of whats "in". Living in New York City, I see very different and unique fashions and it is fun to photograph these at times. I think many of us don't always appreciate how great the city in which we live is for people watching and observing these various looks.

Printed pants are really fashionable right now and have been seen all over the stores and in the street. Floral, tribal, and even some kaleidoscope prints are some that are taking a regular pair of pants and transforming them. This particular pair is in neutral shades of floral and can be worn in the winter as well as when the weather warms up!

Not only did I think that this girls leg warmers were great, but pairing it with the dark brown boot was such a good fit. The combat style boot was so big this season and I love how the navy blue in the sock ties in with the shoes. I wanted to focus on the boots because the variety of shoes walking the streets of NYC is almost overwhelming. I would say that the combat boot was the key item of this seasons shoe game.

Backpacks are super trendy this season and are also so convenient, especially for us students! This leather book bag still has a handbag vibe to it and can be used in a multitude of ways. I've been seeing these all over NYC.

Moody Blues- #2

All shades of BLUE are going to be such a hit for the upcoming Spring season. I started noticing a lot of blue interior designs when I would read my favorite magazines or even some of my other blogs that I like to check out. A lot of room designs (like the one below) feature a similar blue color scheme and it is incredibly soothing.

When I came across all of the home decor ideas, this was my inspiration to look into the ready to wear. Being as though color blocking is another trend that is going to remain in the spotlight, it was interesting to see different shades of blue being color blocked together. Not only just RTW, but the different shades were also featured in accessories as well. The images below are super trendy and were my personal favorites!

Influence.

Kingdom of Style

One of the most intriguing things about fashion is that it is allowed to always be different and accept new styles. When I was surfing the web looking for bloggers that interested me, I found many of them just included street style or trendy model images. Although the site should be presentable and have great images, it is the content of the blog that can make a good post great.

Kingdom of Style is a Scotland-based blog spot that is known for "Where fashion meets art, design, and music." It is a super neat site with a clean look focusing on other aspects of art and not just fashion. They even include a lot of music set lists from up and coming DJ's or other artists. I thoroughly enjoyed looking through this blog and am going to keep updated with them from here on out. Props to Scotland's own Kingdom of Style!

Here are some images from the bloggers that were my personal favorites!
